Dr. Max Tretter
Biographische Notiz
Dr. Max Tretter ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Systematische Theologie II (Ethik) der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Nach einem einjährigen Studium freikirchlicher Theologie in Essen und Nürnberg (2012–2013) studierte er evangelisch-lutherische Theologie in Erlangen und Berlin (2013–2019). Von 2016 bis 2019 war er Kollegiat des FAU-Förderungswerks Leonardo-Kolleg, seit Januar 2025 wird er von der Emerging Talents Initiative gefördert.
2019 bis 2020 arbeitete er im Projekt OwnData und befasste sich mit ethischen Fragen zum Umgang mit medizinischen Daten, mit Datensolidarität und digitaler Souveränität. Von 2020 bis 2022 war er Mitarbeiter im Verbundprojekt CwiC und ging der Frage nach, welche Ungewissheits-Gewissheits-Verschiebungen der Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz und Big Data vor allem im klinischen Bereich verursacht – und wie man ethisch mit diesen umgehen kann. Seit 2022 erforscht er als Mitarbeiter im Projekt PRIMA-AI die Auswirkungen des Einsatzes von KI-getriebenen Entscheidungsunterstützungssystemen auf das Ärztin-Patientin-Verhältnis sowie das Shared-Decision-Making. Ebenfalls seit 2022 ist Max assoziierter Wissenschaftler an Sonderforschungsbereich EmpkinS und forscht zu den ethischen wie sozialen Herausforderungen empathokinästherischer Sensortechnologie. September bis November 2023 ist Max Visiting Researcher an der University of California, Berkeley.
In seinem Promotionsprojekt, das er im Juli 2024 abschloss, befasste er sich mit Hip Hop bei Black Lives Matter Protesten. Er kombinierte Ansätze der politischen Theorie sowie der Hip Hop Studies und der Öffentlichen Theologie, um zu verstehen, was geschieht, wenn Hip Hop Songs bei diesen Protesten gespielt und/oder vorgetragen werden, und wie solch ästhetische Artikulationen in der Öffentlichkeit ethisch zu beurteilen sind. Seine Dissertation wird 2025 in Perspektiven der Ethik bei bei Mohr Siebeck Open Access publiziert.
